Day 1: Nairobi – Johannesburg | Welcome to South Africa
Fly from Nairobi to Johannesburg. On arrival, transfer to your hotel. Afternoon: Leisure or short city orientation — Nelson Mandela Square and Sandton City. Evening: Welcome dinner at a local restaurant with authentic South African cuisine.
Day 2: Johannesburg – Soweto & Apartheid Museum
Morning: Guided city tour — Johannesburg and Soweto. Visit the Apartheid Museum — an emotional journey through South Africa’s struggle for freedom. Stop at Vilakazi Street, where Nelson Mandela and Desmond Tutu once lived. Traditional lunch in Soweto with local music and dance. Afternoon: Return to hotel. Optional shopping in Sandton.
Day 3: Johannesburg – Cape Town | Table Mountain & V&A Waterfront
Morning: Fly to Cape Town. Meet your guide and begin the city tour. Ride the cable car up Table Mountain (weather permitting) for breathtaking panoramic views. Visit the V&A Waterfront — restaurants, shops and entertainment. Check in to your hotel and evening at leisure.
Day 4: Full-Day Cape Peninsula Tour
Scenic drive along the Cape Peninsula — one of the world’s most spectacular coastal routes. Visit Hout Bay and optional boat trip to Seal Island. Drive along Chapman’s Peak to Cape Point — where the Atlantic and Indian Oceans meet. Explore Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve — ostriches, baboons and antelope. Stop at Boulders Beach for the famous African penguin colony. Return to Cape Town for evening dining.
Day 5: Leisure Morning & Return to Nairobi
Morning: Free time — visit Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens or browse souvenir markets. Transfer to Cape Town International Airport for your return flight to Nairobi.
